This is a photo journal to log our progress on the robotics cat that we are taking to the 2020 Pittsburgh Science and Engineering Fair in March. Here, you can view our weekly progress in the construction of the cat!
We got the idea for our cat from the organization Laughter on Call. They quote some research to show us how humor and laughter affect the brain. While we cannot be comedians visiting our local nursing home, we have all enjoyed the comedy provided by Orabelle chasing a laser light. We hope to build our cat robust enough to chase a light and make turns without falling. It just may pounce! |
According to the Mayo Clinic, laughter activates and relieves your stress response and can stimulate circulation and aid muscle relaxation. |
